Interpretation of CIP-004-1

Status:
The initial ballot for an interpretation of standard CIP-004-1 — Cyber Security — Personnel & Training, Requirements R2, R3, and R4, for WECC ended on January 19, 2010. Processing of the interpretation was delayed as revisions to the CIP standards were given a higher priority, and further delayed as the Standards Committee put interpretation processing on hold while formal procedures were developed for processing of interpretations. In May 2011 the Standards Committee appointed a standing CIP Interpretation Drafting team, and assigned this interpretation to that team. The CIP IDT has posted its consideration of comments from the initial ballot, along with a revised interpretation, for a parallel formal comment period and successive ballot through March 23, 2012.

WECC requested an interpretation of CIP-004-1 Requirements R2 through R4.
