Related Files
Status:
First set of standards:
The industry approved IRO-002, IRO-005, and IRO-014 on July 25, 2011.
The BOT approved the standards at their August 4, 2011 meeting.
Currently, NERC staff are preparing the filing for these BOT approved
standards.
Second set of standards:
The QRAWG/SCEC approved posting the second set of standards (i.e.,
COM-001, COM-002, and IRO-001) for successive ballot on a conference
call on December 27, 2011 and these were posted for a 30-day industry
comment which started on January 9, 2012. A successive ballot will be
conducted in the last 10 days of the comment period. The comment and
ballot period ends February 9, 2012. Currently, a team meeting to
develop the consideration of comments for these three standards is
tentatively scheduled for the week of March 13, 2012. The location is
yet to be determined.
Purpose/Industry Need:
To ensure that the reliability-related requirements applicable to the
Reliability Coordinator are clear, measurable, unique and enforceable;
and to ensure that this set of requirements is sufficient to maintain
reliability of the Bulk Electric System.
