Board Adopts Four Standards; Bids Farewell to Retiring Vice President
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The North American Electric Reliability Corporation’s Board of Trustees adopted four standards at its May 7 meeting in Washington, D.C. Commissioners Philip Moeller and Cheryl LaFleur, from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and Ken Quesnelle, chair of Canadian Association of Members of Public Utility Tribunals (CAMPUT), offered opening remarks. The Board and attendees recognized the contributions of Thomas Burgess, vice president of Reliability Assessment and Performance Analysis, who retires from NERC on July 1. NERC’s President and Chief Executive Officer Gerry Cauley announced the formation of a new advisory group to streamline compliance guidance.
