Nuclear 706B Project
As a result of FERC Order 706-B, NERC and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).  The MOU addresses the processes by which NERC and NRC solicit and obtain information from various nuclear power plants for the purpose of determining those systems, structures, and components that are exempt from the NERC Reliability Standards, and therefore, may be subject to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations.  Additionally, the NRC, in coordination with NERC, developed the NRC Nexus Policy Document (provided below).

To aid nuclear power plants in implementation of the 706-B Nuclear Project, NERC hosted four workshops regarding the bright-line exemption process (Bright-Line). These workshops consisted of various informational sessions and discussions related to 706-B and how to complete the Bright-Line. The workshop attendees included system engineering, licensing, and corporate compliance staff.

Provided below are the relevant FERC Orders, the MOU, Bright-Line Survey, and presentation materials from the various workshops.
