Background
NERC’s Critical Infrastructure Protection Committee (CIPC) works with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and other federal partners to host an annual classified threat briefing for electric industry security managers and technical experts.
The briefing is open to CIPC meeting attendees who have at least a Secret-level security clearance and who do not attend the classified threat briefing that occurs at the Grid Security Conference (GridSecCon) on October 25, 2019.
Each attendee must register for the threat briefing and must obtain the security clearance that is needed to attend.

The deadline for obtaining clearances is November 25, 2019.
* NERC does not facilitate obtaining clearances for this event, nor do we pass clearances.
* Do not send clearance requests or personally identifiable information (PII) to NERC.
* Attendees must arrange their own transportation. Atlanta’s public transportation system (MARTA) does not have a stop near the FBI Atlanta field office.
* The FBI prohibits personal electronic devices in their facility.
