The Outreach Working Group’s purpose is to encourage communication and education on critical infrastructure protection (CIP) issues. This includes promoting and supporting the use of CIP standards, guidelines, reference documents and resource materials across the electricity sector.  

Objectives: 

Sponsor and work with critical infrastructure committees in the NERC regions. 

Facilitate outreach to the electricity sector to ensure CIP products and services are broadly distributed and utilized throughout the industry. 

Conduct workshops for the electricity sector for recently issued CIP standards, guidelines and reference documents. The train the trainer model and training technologies will be leveraged to achieve the most effective training.
