Apply for Exam

Based on the Job Analysis that was performed in August 2001, the NERC Certification Examination structure has evolved from a one-examination format to a four-examination model beginning September 3, 2002.  The results of the Job Analysis indicated the need for specialty examinations in the following areas:  Reliability, Balancing & Interchange, Transmission, and Balancing/Interchange/Transmission.  The criteria and Content Outline for each individual examination can be obtained from the table below.

Old Exams (will be shut down on May 31, 2008 so we can switch to the new exams)
Based on NERC Standards effective February 1, 2005.

New Exams (available after July 1, 2008)
These exams will be partially based on NERC Standards effective January 1, 2007.  These exams are more focused on application and analysis than previous exams which were more focused on recall questions.
