Abdel-Karim Speaks at World Youth Forum in Egypt
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Noha Abdel-Karim, manager of Reliability Assessment, delivered a keynote speech during a session on the future of global climate change as part of the World Youth Forum in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt on November 8. Abdel-Karim’s remarks focused on transforming the grid for a secure and sustainable future.
The event, which took place November 4-10, included plenary sessions, seminars, and round tables discussing a wide variety of international and regional themes of including migration, refugees, democracy, globalization and cultural identity, technology and access to information. The World Youth Forum hopes to send a message of peace, prosperity, harmony and progress by engaging youth from around the globe to recommend initiatives to decision makers and policymakers.
Abdel-Karim joined NERC in August 2013. She earned a Bachelor and Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Science from the Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. She earned her Doctorate in Philosophy, Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University.
