Atlanta Office Closed Due to Severe Weather
ATLANTA – The North American Electric Reliability Corporation is closing its office through September 12 due to severe weather conditions related to Hurricane Irma. Tropical storm weather is expected to arrive in Atlanta Monday afternoon, with the anticipation of heavy rain and winds, flash flooding and possible tornadoes.
NERC’s Bulk Power Situation Awareness team continues to monitor the storm and its impacts, and staff continues to work remotely. We anticipate opening Wednesday for normal business hours. The D.C. office remains open.
NERC continues to provide information to industry and federal agencies and stands ready to assist in any way. Our thoughts go out to those affected by the Hurricanes Irma and Harvey and their aftermath.
