Board Approves ERO Strategic Plan; Adopts 10 Standards
PHOENIX – The North American Electric Reliability Corporation Board of Trustees approved the Electric Reliability Organization Enterprise Strategic Plan 2014-2017, and adopted 10 standards at their quarterly meeting February 6 in Phoenix. The strategic plan summarizes the ERO mission and vision, and provides strategic direction for the ERO in the coming years.
“To gauge where we are going, we must first look at where we have been,” said Gerry Cauley, president and chief executive officer at NERC. “NERC has made substantial progress throughout the past year, including our standards process transformation; increased collaboration with the Federal Regulatory Energy Commission and Canada; the continued momentum on the Reliability Assurance Initiative; and vegetation management efforts. The ERO strategic plan will help us continue this forward momentum.” Announcement | Board Presentations
