Gerry Cauley to Discuss Grid Security at House Hearing
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Gerry Cauley, president and chief executive officer, will testify about cyber security protections for the bulk power system at a hearing sponsored by the House Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings and Emergency Management at 10 a.m. Eastern Thursday.
The topic of the hearing is managing the response to a cyber attack or another cause of a widespread power outage.
Others scheduled to testify include:
·      William Spence, chief executive officer of PPL Corporation
·      Bobbi Kilmer, president and CEO at the Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative
·      W. Craig Fugate, administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency
·    Patricia Hoffman, assistant secretary at the Department of Energy’s Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability
·      Caitlin Durkovich, assistant secretary for infrastructure protection at the Department of Homeland Security
