GridEx II Report Highlights Recommendations, Lessons Learned from Grid Security Exercise
WASHINGTON, DC – The North American Electric Reliability Corporation completed the after-action review from its second grid security exercise, GridEx II, which took place on November 13-14, 2013. The report highlights lessons learned and recommendations from the exercise and summarizes the exercise scenario.
The exercise built upon the objectives and findings from the 2011 GridEx recommendations and simulated a coordinated cyber and physical security attack to offer participants a worst-case scenario to review their existing command, control and communication plans and to identify potential areas for improvement. Key recommendations and lessons learned are highlighted in the Grid Security Exercise After-Action Report.
