International Collaboration Highlighted at NERC Board of Trustees Meeting
HALIFAX, Nova Scotia – Cross-border collaboration was the focus of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation’s quarterly Board of Trustees meeting on August 11 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Also in attendance were the chair, vice-chair and members from the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board. Opening remarks were made by Norman Bay, chair of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and Patricia Hoffman, assistant secretary of the Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability at the U.S. Department of Energy.
Additional remarks were made by Murray Doehler, vice-chair of Canadian Association of Members of Public Utility Tribunals (CAMPUT); the Honorable Sergio Marchi, president and chief executive officer of Canadian Electricity Association; and Bob Hanf, executive vice president at Emera.
