NERC Begins Hiring Search for Two Leadership Positions
ATLANTA – The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) begins its search for senior industry leaders to fill the roles of senior vice president and chief operating officer, and vice president of Reliability Assessment and Performance Analysis.
The chief operating officer is responsible for working with the chief executive officer to provide strategic vision, planning, leadership, and oversight for the reliability operating groups. The vice president for Reliability Assessment and Performance Analysis is responsible for overseeing NERC’s reliability assessments and risk analysis.
"We’re at a critical point in the development and execution of a risk-based approach for the electric reliability organization,” said Gerry Cauley, president and chief executive officer at NERC. “The additional leadership from an operating officer will assist with oversight of programs and lead to improved reliability. We also have an opportunity to attract a senior leader for our RAPA program to ensure NERC continues providing the industry with valuable assessments, forecasts and metrics.”
