NERC Releases Analysis of Frequency Response During February Extreme Weather
 
WASHINGTON, DC – The North American Electric Reliability Corporation released an event analysis today that analyzes how the bulk power system performed during the February 1-5, 2011, extreme weather conditions in the southwestern region of United States. This report – Analysis of Power System Impacts and Frequency Response Performance: February 1-5, 2011 Texas and Southwestern U.S. Cold Snap - summarizes the analysis completed by NERC to assess bulk power system impacts in the El Paso, New Mexico and Arizona areas, and the frequency response performance with the affected interconnections – Eastern, Western and Texas.
