Reliability Summit Focuses on Strategy to Address Key Challenges
WASHINGTON, DC -- The North American Electric Reliability Corporation convened more than 100 of industry’s executives on September 11 to discuss priorities for enhancing North American bulk power system reliability in the face of a changing resource mix and other challenges. The Reliability Leadership Summit focused on diverse issues the industry currently faces, including integration of renewables, potential generation retirements in light of low-cost natural gas and environmental regulations, electric-gas interdependency, and communications during and recovering from bulk power system emergencies.
