WASHINGTON, D.C. – At its monthly open meeting, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking that proposes to direct NERC to develop new or modified Critical Infrastructure Protection Reliability Standards addressing internal network security monitoring for high- and medium-impact Bulk Electric System cyber systems. The ERO Enterprise appreciates FERC’s attention to cybersecurity matters and will continue to work with FERC and stakeholders toward assuring the reliability of the North American bulk power system.
