The NERC System Planning Impacts of DER Working Group (SPIDERWG) is hosting a 1-day virtual workshop on the latest updates and progress on work supporting the reliable integration of increasing levels of distributed energy resources (DER). The workshop will explore the technical work recently approved by the NERC Reliability and Security Technical Committee as well as address a number of opportunities for industry action to further understand the reliability and security impacts of aggregate DERs to the bulk power system. The 6-hour virtual workshop will also describe current and emerging topics related to DERs, and future plans for SPIDERWG activities. A detailed agenda will be provided closer to the webinar; high-level topics that will be covered are described below:
