NERC is hosting the second annual BES Protection System Misoperation Reduction Workshop on October 1-2, 2024 in Salt Lake City, UT. Building on the success of the first BES Protection System Misoperation Reduction Workshop, this year’s workshop will include presentations on the leading causes of Protection System Misoperations and mitigating actions taken by entities to reduce misoperations. One of the highlights for this year is the role that human performance plays in protection system misoperations and how some entities are implementing and modifying processes to minimize human error.
