Align and the Secure Evidence Locker (SEL) are tools used by NERC, Regional Entities, and registered entities in the conduct of the ERO Enterprise Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program (CMEP). Align and the SEL provide:
- A more secure method of managing and storing CMEP data
- Alignment of common business processes, ensuring consistent practices and data gathering
- A standardized interface for registered entities to interact with the ERO Enterprise
- Real-time access to information, eliminating delays and manual communications
- Consistent application of the CMEP
- Ease of Access, e.g., ability to download all standards and requirements for use in other systems
Align Overview
Align has positioned the core CMEP business processes of NERC and the Regional Entities on a single, secure platform that includes functionality related to Enforcement and Mitigation, Periodic Data Submittals, Technical Feasibility Exceptions, Self-Certifications, Audits and Spot Checks, Inherent Risk Assessment, and Compliance Oversight Plans.
SEL Overview
The SEL provides enhanced security in evidence collection via a NERC on-premises environment. Moreover, the SEL supports effective data and information handling practices.
