October 2012 Hurricane Sandy Event Analysis Report
The purpose of this report is to provide an analysis of Hurricane Sandy’s impact on the bulk power system to ensure a complete, coherent review and documentation of the event and restoration efforts. The report focuses on three main areas: 1) preparation, 2) operations during the event, and 3) restoration (to include consideration of the November 2012 Winter Storm Athena). The report is from the perspectives of the Reliability Coordinators and summarizes the event for the entire storm area.
