The North American fleet average EAF, NCF, and EFORd compared to unit age for all generating units with a capacity of 20 MW and larger is summarized in the table.

Equivalent Availability Factor – EAF
EAF measures the fraction of net maximum generation that could be provided after all types of outages are taken into account. It also measures percent of maximum generation available over time.

Net Capacity Factor – NCF
NCF measures the actual energy generated as a fraction of the maximum possible energy it could have generated at maximum operating
capacity.

Equivalent Forced Outage Rate demand – EFORd
EFORd measures the probability that a unit will not meet its demand periods for generating requirements because of forced outages or
