Regrettably, we experienced unforeseen technical difficulties during the May16, 2023 webinar that necessitated the postponement of today's webinar. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. However, we have rescheduled the webinar for June 1, 2023. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

This reliability guideline provides recommendations for the development of EMT model requirements, model quality checks, and verification practices specifically for EMT models used to represent BPS-connected inverter-based resources in reliability studies conducted by TPs and PCs. The recommendations are intended to help ensure that EMT models provided by Generator Owners (GOs) are representative of the expected behavior of the actual or planned facility to the greatest extent possible so that potential reliability risks are adequately captured in the modeling studies. The primary goal of this guideline is to enable Transmission Planners and Planning Coordinators to obtain high-quality EMT models for BPS-connected Inverter-Based Resources so that they can perform applicable simulations when necessary to proactively identify and better mitigate emerging reliability risks. The guideline also features recommendations for GOs, equipment manufacturers, and consultants conducting EMT modeling and studies for inverter-based resources, that  play a key role in ensuring the quality of EMT models.

This webinar will feature industry experts sharing their experience with the recommendations outlined in the guideline.
